Directors and Associate Directors

The company is independently owned and managed by directors, who have extensive knowledge benefiting from experience within the industry and who have lived and worked in the area for many years.
The directors take an active role in the day-to-day running of our branches to ensure our customers benefit from a first-class service.
Ian Perry, BSc (Est Man) FRICS FNAEA, Chairman
Ian, a Chartered Surveyor, was brought up in Cheltenham where his family owned a surveying and estate agency practice. His work career moved to Cirencester in 1982 where he became the managing partner of Hobbs and Chambers, a successful local independent firm of surveyors and estate agents.
Ian’s expertise and knowledge carries across a broad spectrum relating to property matters and he is responsible for the overall direction and management of the company. Ian continues to live on the outskirts of Cheltenham with his family.
Phillip Bishop, MNAEA, Residential Managing Director
Phillip is an associate member of the National Association of Estate Agents and has previously worked for independent Estate Agents and a larger corporate, having originally joined Hobbs and Chambers on work experience from the local Faringdon school.
Phillip jointly founded the company in 1999 and continues to live in the Faringdon area with his family. He is responsible for ensuring that the Sales offices across the company achieve their objective of excellent customer service combined with complete integrity within the services offered so that the company is one that individuals will recommend to their friends.
Peter Chambers, FRICS, Land and New Homes Director
Peter, a Chartered Surveyor, joined the company in 2003 and currently lives near Cirencester with his family.
Previously, Peter was a Partner of Hobbs and Chambers, and also has experience working for a regional developer and a corporate commercial company.
Peter has extensive knowledge and expertise of planning and development issues and is responsible for the services offered by the Land and New Homes Department throughout the company.
Giles Cooper, BSc (Est Man) MRICS, Director of Cotswold Surveyors Ltd
Giles, a Chartered Surveyor, joined the company in 2003 from whence he has overseen the considerable growth of the professional and surveying arm, and has established the group sister company Cotswold Surveyors.
Giles lives near Cheltenham with his family. He previously worked with C&G PLC, where he was responsible for a team of 18 surveyors.
He now oversees all of the professional services in the company providing valuation advice, surveys, home buyers reports and latterly new energy reports.
John Mosley, BSc (Econ) ACA, Chief Operating Officer
John, a Chartered Accountant, joined the company in 2004 with the principle aim of centralising the company's accounting practices as well as using his particular expertise in the field of IT.
Prior to joining the company, John worked as Financial Director within residential lettings and property management for Hambro Countrywide. He lives in Cheltenham with his family.
John is now Financial Director and Chief Operating Officer for the company.
Paul Boden, FNAEA CPEA, Associate Director
Paul, a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents joined the Cirencester office of Hobbs & Chambers in 1988 and has worked closely with Ian Perry and Phillip ever since. He loves people and is passionate about ensuring that clients get the best possible service.
Paul has lived in Fairford most of his life and is married with 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
He has managed the Tetbury branch for 9 years and is responsible for maintaining the company’s dominant market share.
Sarah Benson CPEA FNAEA, Associate Director
Sarah is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and has twenty years experience working in the Faringdon Office, having started her estate agency career with Hobbs & Chambers originally as a Saturday girl.
She continues to live in the Faringdon area with her family.
She has successfully managed the Faringdon branch for the past eight years and is responsible for maintaining the company’s dominant market share.
Susan Doyle, Head of Lettings and Management
Susan is the most recent addition to the team joining Perry Bishop and Chambers with over 16 years specialist experience in Residential Lettings and Leasehold Block Management.
Susan worked for 9 years with two local Independent Estate Agents before setting up The Estate Managers Ltd in 1999, which operated throughout Gloucestershire and saw continued success and growth over the subsequent seven years.
The Estate Managers Ltd merged with Perry Bishop and Chambers on the 1 June 2007 and Susan joined the company as Head of Lettings & Management. Committed to integrity and high levels of customer service, Susan is confident the merger is an ideal fit for both businesses and will allow expansion of the division together with the level of service the company can offer.
Susan was raised and continues to live in Cheltenham with her husband, two children and Walter the dog.
