Early Effects of Home Information Packs Seen

Created: 14/08/2007

From 1 August, all homes coming onto the market with four or more bedrooms require a Home Information Pack.

Perry Bishop and Chambers are reporting a definite shortgage of new listings of properties with four or more bedrooms and are concerned that there will be a real lack of supply for the usual strong Autumn market.

Ian Perry, director, said "I have been based in the Cotswold area, particularly Cirencester, for 25 years. Every year, we have sold more houses throughout our offices, in September, October and November, than any other time of year.  I can see no reason for this to be different this year but the market will need more instructions of homes with four or more bedrooms."

Anyone concerned about Home Information Packs, should know that Perry Bishop and Chambers can organise a pack through an in-house simple ordering service and the cost of the pack can be included in the normal commission fee.  They are also working closely with local solicitors to ensure that clients receive the very best service.
