Perry Bishop and Chambers were pleased to sponsor, for the second year running, the Fairford 10K race, which took place on Sunday 3 June. But this year there was a difference! A small team of enthusiasts took part last year, but then encouraged a team of willing ‘volunteers’; to join them. The team of 11 employees (some with partners) from various Perry Bishop and Chambers offices, including Fairford, decided to take part to raise money for charity.
Sharon Hunt, Branch Manager of the Cirencester office commented: “It was great that everyone wanted to be involved. Some of the team took the race very seriously but as this was the first time I had ever run 10K, I was personally pleased just to get round and finish!”
The team have raised approximately £350 for their chosen charity, the Ectodermal Dysplasia Society, which supports and links families affected by Ectodermal Dysplasia and raises awareness of the condition with professional workers, particular those dealing with newborn babies and other interested individuals.
