Record Sales for Local Agent
Created: 11/10/2006
Local estate agent, Perry Bishop and Chambers continues to see a very strong market, with sales in its Residential business growing across all its offices this year. The current high volumes of buyers underline the demand for properties being experienced.
This was highlighted in September by the Cirencester office co-ordinating a record eleven sales in one day following a particular busy weekend. The sales agreed included a number of new homes, with some of the properties receiving more than one offer. This was particularly encouraging for the New Homes department who currently have associations with some 15 sites, with further new projects coming to market in the next few months.
The rapid growth of the Cirencester office, since the move to its current prominent offices in Silver Street in May last year, has been reflected by the increase in the number of staff now employed. The Sales team alone accounts for some 15 people. The Sales Manager, Barry McKechnie is now joined by a new Branch Manager, Sharon Hunt. With over 12 years of experience in estate agency and New Homes, Sharon was most recently employed by Berkeley Homes, the new home developers, managing their new site in Worcester. Sharon is pleased to be working closer to home, and commented: “I am pleased to be part of the growth of the Cirencester office. This is a very exciting time for the company as we look to grow and establish the business across the Cotswolds”. Barry will continue to look after listings and general estate agency with Sharon responsible for customer service, personnel and procedures, as well as being involved with listings.
The recent expansion of its Fairford office is progressing well and the company is looking to recruit in this area. The addition of a Residential Sales department to the existing Lettings team in Cheltenham is also proving successful and although it is still early days, the company is encouraged by the increased activity in this region.
