Selling Your Home?
Created: 26/06/2008
Decided to sell your house? Local estate agent, Perry Bishop and Chambers has produced a Guide with useful tips on how to present your property for sale, based on its simple theory – the four ‘Ps’ – Presentation, Price, Promotion and Personality.
Phillip Bishop is the Residential Managing Director and Branch Manager of the Cirencester office, located in its prominent position at the corner of Silver Street. Phillip explains: “We take great pride in the service we provide, as well as in our track record of successful sales in our area. Our objectives are always to achieve the best possible price, in the shortest possible time, with the least possible inconvenience. When placing a property on the market, it is essential to present it in the best possible way. We hope the Guide will assist sellers with a few initial tips including the importance of kerb appeal.”
He continues: “It is also crucial to price your property correctly and at a realistic level in today’s market, remembering that your home is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it. We can assist with providing comparable sales to ensure the property is correctly priced.”
In addition, the Guide gives advice on how the company can professionally promote your property and explains the importance of “Personality”: its dedicated, experienced, teams across the company as well as the active role that its Directors, Ian Perry, Phillip Bishop and Peter Chambers, take day-to day. Associate Directors, Sarah Benson and Paul Boden, run the Faringdon and Tetbury offices respectively.
The Cirencester office has been at its current location since May 2005 and Phillip Bishop heads up the Residential Sales team there. Phillip joined the company 20 years ago, straight from school, having been on work experience for two weeks with the Faringdon branch, then known as Hobbs & Chambers. He began working on Saturdays and valued his first home when he was only 16 years old! After running offices in Malmesbury and Swindon, Phillip decided to pursue his ambition of running his own business and joined Ian Perry in 1999, initially with the current Faringdon and Tetbury offices.
