Speedy Transaction as Agent agrees Lake sale
Created: 25/06/2008
The Land and Development department of local agent, Perry Bishop and Chambers has just achieved a potential record-breaking transaction from sale to completion, with the assistance of Bower & Bailey of Oxford.
Following a high level of interest, Peter Chambers, Land and Development Director, secured the sale, close to the asking price, on a fishing lake near Bourton-on-the-Water. Solicitors were instructed on Tuesday 3 June, with the transaction exchanged and completed on Thursday 19 June – only 13 working days from start to finish!
Peter Chambers comments: “We knew the lake would generate a good level of interest, so were not surprised that a sale would be agreed fairly quickly. However, we were truly amazed at the speed we were able to action the sale and proceed to completion, especially in the current market. The owners were extremely pleased.”
The Land and Development department acts for both land owners as well as local, regional and national developers. Headed up by Peter, (pictured right) it can offer advice on marketing land and buildings (with or without planning consent), achieving planning consent, and monitoring the whole process. In addition, the department can provide a comprehensive and competitive service to developers, identifying and acquiring sites, providing new homes sales and marketing via its residential offices, with on-site presence where appropriate.
