140 Bath Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL53 7NG
Cheltenham, on the edge of the Cotswolds, is an inland spa resort of Regency architecture, broad avenues and fine parks. Cheltenham owed its development to the discovery in the 1730s of medicinal waters which can be taken at several sites in the town but mainly at the Pittville Pump Room.
The principle street of Cheltenham is the Promenade with its fine recency terraces and Neptune Fountain.
Cheltenham is world famous for its horse racing course and the main hurdles event being the Gold Cup National Hunt Festival week in March.
