How you can help us help others during Advent

Once again we will be setting up an advent basket in each of our branches from 1st December, collecting non-perishable foods – including jarred, dried and tinned items – for our local foodbanks. These will be delivered in to Faringdon, Cirencester, Stroud, Nailsworth and Tetbury Foodbanks respectively on Friday 21st December. Our Cheltenham branch are collecting donations on behalf of local charity Open Door, who work throughout the year supporting vulnerable, disadvantaged and lonely people.

Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire’s Foodbanks are part of the The Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities across the UK.

“We are really pleased to be supporting this great local cause,” says Managing Director Phillip Bishop. “It’s so important to spare a thought for those less fortunate in our community, particularly at this time of year, and we hope to get as many donations as possible.”

If you would like make a donation please drop it in to either our Cheltenham branch on the Bath Road, our Cirencester branch on Silver Street, our Faringdon branch in the Market Place, our Stroud branch on London Road, our Nailsworth branch on Fountain Street or our Tetbury branch on Church Street. We welcome all donations.
