We have lived in the property for three years, and we are moving a very short distance away, we don’t wish to leave the area at all! The neighbours are lovely and welcoming and always happy to help, looking after the garden or pets whilst we are away. Many of them have lived here for over 15/20 years. It is very quiet, we have never experienced any issues in the area, there are few children and those that live nearby are kind and respectful. The field opposite can be used for walking the dog and there are so many local areas to walk the dogs without need to get in the car. It is on the edge of Fairford but close enough to walk to the local pub, which is incredibly friendly and does fantastic pizza, it also shows the majority of rugby matches! The walk across the fields to the mill and town is beautiful, especially in summer and the farmer often keeps cows out of the field during RIAT so the locals can use it to watch the air show. We are close enough to everything we might need, the local shop, pharmacy or pub, but far enough out that it is quiet and peaceful and we are surrounded by the countryside. The nearby lanes are very quiet and great for running and cycling and there is lots going on in town, Fairfest, Fairford festival, the annual 10k run, a new Parkrun is being set up and I understand there is quite a lot locally for more elderly people also. There is a men’s and women’s rugby club, a tennis club, football club, doctors surgery, primary and secondary school, everything that we might need. All within a walk or short drive and Cirencester is only ten minutes down the road. We love our house because it is quirky and cosy, it has so much character and is so perfectly located. We have a beautiful big garden with different areas, parking, a garage, plenty of storage, everything we could need. It is our first home together as a married couple and we absolutely adore our cottage. We have put a lot of love and care into it since we bought it but we just need a little more room for our animals and potential future family together.
