Where is your favourite pub or restaurant?
The Butchers Arms – Oakridge Lynch – Fabulous location, pub with wood burning stoves, beams etc, run by a husband and wife team, excellent food, good value and the roasts only served on Sunday are to die for.
What do you love about the area?
The Cotswolds especially the Stroud Valleys are an area of outstanding natural beauty and offer panoramic views throughout. Great walks, pubs, very much a destination if you are a foodie.
Where is the best place to relax in the area?
Minchinhampton Common where you can walk, fly a kite, have a picnic and just chill.
What do you think is the best view in the area?
Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons – Panoramic.
How would you spend a ‘perfect day’ in the area?
English breakfast at Lavender Bakehouse, Chalford, followed by a brisk walk on one of the many commons, then some shopping in fab Cheltenham, followed by lunch in Montpelier – then a twilight spa evening at Calot Spa relaxing in their hot tub with the renowned log fire close by, sipping champagne, having a treatment, facial followed by supper in the Gumstool part of Calcot Manor, then back home to my very special home, an apartment within an old woollen mill surrounded by lakes and waterfalls to awake to the sound of birds at 5am the following morning.

Lola’s the new tapas bar in Tetbury.
What do you love about the area?
The highstreet has very few empty premises, we have a lot of tourists to the town which keeps our local shops in business.
Where is the best place to relax in the area?
Calcot Spa, beautiful day with spa, treatment and a lovely lunch.
What do you think is the best view in the area?
A walk around Prince Charles’ Highgrove looking back onto the Town is my favourite view.
How would you spend a ‘perfect day’ in the area?
A 3 mile walk with the dogs to The Cat and Custard Pub in a near by village for the perfect Sunday Lunch.

The Old Boathouse, South Cerney.
What do you love about the area?
Being a short walk from the lakes and the all the nature reserves.
Where is the best place to relax in the area?
Lunch and a spa treatment at Whatley Manor, Malmesbury.

View looking down Black Jack Street/ The view from the top of Cirencester Park down to Cecily Hill on a sunny day.

The Cricklade Club, 38 High St, Cricklade, SN6 6AY.
What do you love about the area?
The High Street has a variety of local shops and there is a recently refurbished leisure centre. Cricklade takes part in Britain in Bloom competition each year so the town always looks attractive.
Where is the best place to relax in the area?
Walking through North Meadow, especially in April where you can see the rare Snakeshead Fritillaries.
What do you think is the best view in the area?
From the top of St Sampson’s church you can see the whole town.
How would you spend a ‘perfect day’ in the area?
Walking my dog with my family through North Meadow and back to my parents for a roast dinner.

Where is your favourite pub or restaurant?
We are spoilt for choice in Cheltenham. The Tavern, run by Julian Dunkerton of Superdry fame, is great for lunch. The Daffodil is lovely for a special occasion and the Taproom at Deya Brewery has a great vibe if you’re meeting up with friends for a drink, they run live music nights too.
What do you love about the area?
Cheltenham offers everything that a small city does. Great place to bring up a family – good schools, parks and cultural activities. The annual Jazz Festival and world-renowned Literature festival are particular highlights. Also, brilliantly located – surrounded by beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
Where is the best place to relax in the area?
In the summer poolside at Cheltenham’s fantastic 1930s lido. In the winter months, the Wilson Art Gallery or enjoying a film at the Tivoli cinema.
What do you think is the best view in the area?
The views from the top of Leckhampton hill are second to none, stretching across the town to Cleeve Hill, Bredon Hill and the Malverns. Often people paraglide from the top when the conditions are right.
How would you spend a ‘perfect day’ in the area?
A walk along the Honeybourne line, coffee at Pittville Pumproom, lunch at Domains 16 restaurant in town, a mooch around the Suffolks, afternoon tea at The Ivy.

IF I wanted to go out to eat, Faringdon has a nice selections of eateries, from a Steakhouse, Indian, Tapas and your usual pub grub.
What do you love about the area?
Faringdon is a mix of period and modern properties with a pretty market square. Has lots going on and is full of history .
Where is the best place to relax in the area?
I relax at home.
What do you think is the best view in the area?
Folly Hill, The lay by off the Highworth Rd or from Church St looking down towards Radcot.
How would you spend a ‘perfect day’ in the area ?
A walk around the Folly Tower followed by a pub lunch.
