Where is your favourite pub or restaurant?
We are spoilt for choice in Cheltenham. The Tavern, run by Julian Dunkerton of Superdry fame, is great for lunch. The Daffodil is lovely for a special occasion and the Taproom at Deya Brewery has a great vibe if you’re meeting up with friends for a drink, they run live music nights too.
What do you love about the area?
Cheltenham offers everything that a small city does. Great place to bring up a family – good schools, parks and cultural activities. The annual Jazz Festival and world-renowned Literature festival are particular highlights. Also, brilliantly located – surrounded by beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
Where is the best place to relax in the area?
In the summer poolside at Cheltenham’s fantastic 1930s lido. In the winter months, the Wilson Art Gallery or enjoying a film at the Tivoli cinema.
What do you think is the best view in the area?
The views from the top of Leckhampton hill are second to none, stretching across the town to Cleeve Hill, Bredon Hill and the Malverns. Often people paraglide from the top when the conditions are right.
How would you spend a ‘perfect day’ in the area?
A walk along the Honeybourne line, coffee at Pittville Pumproom, lunch at Domains 16 restaurant in town, a mooch around the Suffolks, afternoon tea at The Ivy.
