If you let your property on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST), the Renters’ Rights Act will bring important changes that you need to be aware of.
The Act received Royal Assent on 27 October 2025 and is now law. The first stage of changes came into force on the 27th December 2025, with the wider reforms following from 1st May 2026.
Now is the time to get ahead. Landlords should be reviewing their tenancies, processes and documentation to ensure everything is compliant before the enforcement dates arrive.
Whether you’re new to letting or have an established portfolio, our team is here to guide you through what the changes mean in practice, clearly, calmly and proactively, so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Her first job was as a jeweller, and she’s currently overplaying Enjoy The Silence by Depeche Mode. A perfect day for Leigh includes plenty of sunshine, and she’s probably most often talking about genealogy. Her first concert was Simply Red, though her best live experience was seeing INXS.

Pippa would love to be able to play the piano, enjoys a Sunday roast in a warm country pub, and most appreciates the team spirit in the office.
