Perry Bishop lettings service gains traction with landlords seeking greater transparency

Launched less than a year ago across their five Gloucestershire branches, Perry Bishop and Chambers’ Lettings and Property Management service is proving popular with first time landlords as well as with established landlords looking for a reputable agency to manage their property portfolio. Since the recent introduction of the Tenant Fee ban, which caused a degree of uncertainty in the lettings market amongst agents and landlords alike, Perry Bishop have benefited from further new instructions.

Whereas many agents chose to recoup their losses from the fee ban by immediately putting up their management charges, Perry Bishop and Chambers chose not to pass on the cost in lost fees to their landlords. A number of landlords facing a hike in prices from their existing letting agency have voted with their feet and chosen to move their business to Perry Bishop. “We are here to offer advice, to guide our landlords through any changes in legislation rather than see these as an excuse to clobber them with additional charges,” explains Lettings Manager Tammy Powell (MARLA).

The agency’s marketing approach to lettings has also helped them create stand out in a crowded marketplace. “We treat every new lettings listing in the same way we treat every new property we bring to the market to sell,” says Tammy. “Professional photography and floorplans set us apart, enabling us to show off our landlords’ properties in the best possible light, attract the best rental yield and deliver the best tenants.”
